Sooo Animal Planet just has a Lost Tapes marathon earlier today. And my reaction to it?

"FFFF OH MY GOD YES I WISH I FUCKIN' HAD TIVO"

I've been a complete and utter cryptozoology geek since I did a paper on it back in middle school. I've been completely enamored by it ever since, as both a hobby and a possible career.

"Career?" you ask. "But Z I thought you wanted to be a dentist and work in the exciting world of human mouths."

This is true. However, being so obsessed with cryptids and the science thereof, I've gone and dedicated an entire project to the practice. That's right, it's KRYPT. The title makes sense now, don't it? 8D



Yes yes, Trapper and his story are all about the animals living hidden in the modern world. Bigfoot, el chupacabra, thunderbirds, the Jersey Devil and sea monsters? YES PLEASE.

Anyway, back to that whole career thing. KRYPT will be a novel and more likely than not a trilogy, focusing on Trapper and his partner. I reallly want to post more info on him and the story itself, but if 'm going to get it published I really can't afford to go around screaming "LOL THE PLOT IN ITS ENTIRETY".

The manuscript is about 22,000 words right now, and steadily growing. Helping me in this lengthy endeavor is the lovely ~Xhanthia, my editor in chief. Buuut another possible outlet is comic book form.

I think the dynamics of the project would work well in comic format, but I've got a loooong way to go artistically if I'm going to go that route.
