You don't typically shrink pixel art. It's usually pixeled at the size it will be finished, but it's still way awesome.

Anytime. It's still awesome art. If you want to try making pixel art from a drawing again, shrink it to its final size FIRST, then trace it with pixels, and shade and color it at that size. That way, it stays pixel.

Haha, welcome to the club. It's hard work, but if you do it right, its completely worth it. Course, even if you do it wrong, you learn from your mistakes, just like in all other art.
